Capsule Wardrobe Outfit Combinations | Spring 2020
To those who think that capsule wardrobes are repetitive and boring, I challenge you. A well curated capsule can give you a ton of outfits that you can wear to most everyday occasions - the way in which you combine the pieces together makes it seem like you have more clothes than you actually do.
Think about it: if you shop and dress for ‘outfits’, you could end up with the same number of pieces, but only be able to put together 5 outfits, making it so that every week you are repeating one from the last. If instead you shop for versatile pieces that can mix and match easily, you have over 30 outfits so that you don’t have to repeat one in a month. A MONTH!
Spring can be a tricky time for a capsule. Where I live, the season begins with frigid temperatures and frequent rains, but by the end of the spring we have temperatures in the 80’s Fahrenheit (high 20’s Celsius), sunny days, and cool nights.
Because of this, I focused this capsule on a lot of layers of different weights. This helps me check the weather in the mornings and make sure I can be dressed comfortably no matter what the season throws at me, but still feel put together for what I have to do.
For those interested, I’m sharing a list of the items in this capsule below. I’ve had most of these items for a long time, so finding the exact piece is a bit complicated - but, whenever possible I found you a similar option of similar price point to mine (I’m a big lover of ‘high-quality, affordable-price’, and a borderline couponer extreme).

This little capsule, with its beautiful spring colors and fun pieces, has made a big difference in my mood while I’m safe at home. For some reason, getting dressed in the morning in clothes that I find fun and comfortable makes me feel like life is going on as normal, and reminds me that this will be over soon.
If this inspires you to put together your own capsule, please share it with me! I would love to see a picture of the clothes you select, or the outfits you can out together with it. You can find me on Instagram @vazq_fernanda. As always, thanks for watching!
